You can support Kidsafe in a number of ways by either making a regular donation to Kidsafe by setting up a monthly standing order/direct debit or by giving a one off donation to the charity or by doing a fundraiser.

Recent fundraisers carried out to benefit Kidsafe include: - A dance extravaganza held by Inside Out from Barrow, the North West Evening Mail family fun day and a Dance-a-thon evening when Kidsafe Programme Manager Val Webb carried out one of her favourite activities (apart from being in the mountains), and danced the night away raising over £1000 for Kidsafe, Val Webb Programme Manager and Jude Walker Programme Coordinator became Mother and Father Christmas for the day at the Dickensian Festival in Ulverston, and a street collection was organised by Grange and District Lions who are a big supporter of Kidsafe.

Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge 2011

The next big fundraiser for Kidsafe is to attempt the Yorkshire Three Peaks, this will take place in July 2011 with 8 people undertaking the challenge including Kidsafe workers, Management Committee Members and friends and family of the Kidsafe team, who all are happy to walk the 26 miles in a bid to raise much needed funds for Kidsafe. If you feel you would like to support this or any other fundraiser you can donate on-line via Virgin Money Giving, search for Kidsafe and follow the link, alternatively you can now donate via your mobile phone, text kspu12 and the amount you wish to donate i.e., £5 (maximum of £10) to 70070, all donations can be Gift Aided which again helps to generate more funds enabling Kidsafe to teach more and more children the skills to protect themselves from all forms of abuse.

We also have collection boxes distributed locally - so if you are a local shopkeeper or pub landlord and would like a collection box for your business please contact us.

Other ideas for supporting Kidsafe could include holding a coffee morning, a car boot sale or a beauty evening or anything else you feel would generate funds for this much needed work.

Any amount donated to Kidsafe will ensure the future of the Charity and enable us to carry out our aim to ‘give all children an opportunity to grow up safe from harm and abuse’.
