Full Child Protection Programme
- The programme dealt with the potential problem of child abuse in a positive way.
- It made children aware that they have a right to say NO when they feel uncomfortable.
- Children learned to value themselves and their own bodies
- Sensitive issues are dealt with in a fun way, which quickly dispels children’s embarrassment, the children soon built up a good relationship with KS, Val and Jude.
- Children need to be given the messages in the KIDSAFE programme; it may protect one child from abuse and if we don’t give the child the correct message, who will?
- I think the facilitation and presentation was very good, There was a relaxed, trusting atmosphere where knowledge and advice was shared.
- I know the children enjoyed the session because they wanted to continue discussing the issues. I think they benefited from the session because they seemed to take away the message “talk to a trusted adult” if something bothers you about what you have seen or heard on line etc.,
- Presentation was good and involved all the children.
- As children become more IT literate the E – Safety is increasingly relevant to children, schools and parents
- A very valuable session for the children and also informative for staff, I was surprised at the number of children with access to so much
- The session allowed children to voice their opinions about being bullied and or why some children become bullies
- It was a useful chance to listen to the children’s fears about bullies and the opportunity to explore strategies to deal with bullies
- The session made children aware of the consequences and feelings for both the bully and those being bullied
- The opportunity for a third party to discuss bullying presented a fresh face, fresh voice and fresh ideas
- The session was well organised and structured and allowed children to participate and share their own views
