09:00 - 12:00 - Children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing, ACEs, peer-on-peer abuse and safeguarding using KidSafe as a whole school approach

12:30 - 14:30 - Considerations for effective EYFS delivery, implementing KidSafe into your school, programme logistics to aid effective delivery, how KidSafe meets inspection criteria for Ofsted, KCSiE, PSHE, RSE and Prevent

During the 2 day Training for School Staff Course, member/s of staff will be trained to deliver ready made KidSafe programmes to children in their own schools/clubs and other youth organisations.
KidSafe programmes offer a suite of interactive materials that provides a proven methodology designed to meet Ofsted/KCSiE requirements which help children to protect themselves from all forms of child abuse in an age-appropriate, non-shattering of innocence way, this approach is welcomed by schools, governors and parents/carers who all value the importance of protecting children’s innocence whilst enabling them to keep themselves safe.
Programmes are fully inclusive and are suitable for delivery from EYFS upwards including Specialist Schools
All resources are provided on the Training for School Staff Course and once trained staff are kept regularly updated
KidSafe UK Safeguarding provides training free of charge, schools are required to pay an annual registration fee to use the KidSafe programmes and be a KidSafe Registered School, the annual registration works on a banding system dependent on the number of pupils on the school roll, banding as follows:-
KidSafe trained members of staff are expected to attend annual refresher training, (provided free of charge), to keep skills updated and to maintain your registered school status, each additional member of staff is charged at 50% of the registration fee.
Please note that a school can withdraw from KidSafe UK Safeguarding at any time.
